Watch here on Youtube – The Revival On The Isle Of Lewis. Awesome account of what happens in a true revival!
This is a remarkable account by Duncan Campbell who is the person inextricably linked to the revival, but as you’ll hear did not start it!
Off the west coast of Scotland is a small group of islands called the Hebrides. Between 1949 and 1952 a widespread revival swept through these islands in answer to the prayers of God’s people. Instrumental in this revival was the evangelist Duncan Campbell and two elderly intercessors sisters Peggy and Christine Smith. Duncan Campbell came to the Isle of Lewis to conduct a two-week evangelistic campaign and ended up staying two years. This is his personal account of what happened.
It’s well worth looking around on YouTube, as there’s much more I’ve not checked out.

This is the first hand write-up by Duncan Campbell, which is a great read if you can find a copy. However, there has been a re-print, which is ‘an expanded edition’.
